Norman Dupas B.Sc. CCPE

FOUNDER

Norm Dupas is a seasoned business professional with 30 years of diversified leadership experience as a business owner, marketing/business consultant, and award-winning pharmaceutical sales representative. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, he completed ongoing business management and professional sales development programs of multinational pharmaceutical companies and several professional designations in the medical industry (CCPEs).

As a visionary executive, Norm conceptualizes unique business, sales, and marketing concepts to provide a competitive edge and capitalize on market niches. With a consistent track record of analyzing and re-engineering organizations of varied sizes in different sectors, he has successfully improved companies’ revenues, efficiencies, corporate image, customer service, employee culture, and bottom line profits. With a financial acumen, he can develop measurable metrics for performance and analyze financial data to identify targeted strategic business and financing plans.

His background in pioneering start-up companies has required a varied skill set and the ability to lead market research, feasibility studies, subject matter experts, short and long-term strategic planning, regulatory affairs, and project implementation. With the ability to collaborate with political, government, community and business stakeholders, he can represent an organization’s interests for projects and regular business operations.

As the past Executive Director for Rue Principales (Main Street Revitalization project – Provencher Boulevard), French Quarter BIZ and St. Boniface Chamber of Commerce, Norm has honed his economic and community development skills.

As a founder, entrepreneur and senior leader of several businesses (Niva 10 Corp., Thermea Nature Spa by le Nordik in Winnipeg, Cottages at Clear Lake, CinDen Nutritionals, and Labelle Florists), he has a proven track record of recognizing opportunities and bringing individuals and groups together for a common cause to form successful enterprises. As a current Marketing and Management Consultant for Niva 10 Corp., he has worked with the CinDen Group of Companies for several years on continuous improvements and business development projects for CinDen Pharmacies, CinDen Medical Clinic, and a national nutritional company. As a real estate investor working with joint venture partners and independent projects over the past 20 years, he has an excellent knowledge of real estate transactions.

Acknowledged for his enthusiasm, sense of humour and motivational personality, Norm can build consensus with and inspire team members to meet organizational objectives and high standards. Norm is fully bilingual in English and French.

Ray Préfontaine B.A. (Economics), B.Comm. (Hons.)

Special Advisor to Nivå10 corp

Based in Kelowna, British Columbia, Ray Préfontaine is a self-motivated, entrepreneurial, reliable and trusted senior management and executive professional with over 34 years of experience in managerial and directorship roles in the manufacturing, financial services, and mineral exploration industries and with non-profit, charitable and community-based organizations.

Ray has demonstrated an ability to plan, implement and execute decisions regarding general management, financial statements and profitability analysis, investments in capital markets (including an IPO and acquisitions), accounting, regulatory and legal matters, commercial and agricultural banking and lending, credit management and collections, human resources, marketing and new business development.

Throughout his career, he has identified and acted upon opportunities that enabled the growth of shareholder, financial and human capital for both employer companies and consulting engagements. Ray continues to serve the Winnipeg non-profit community as a director on the boards of Marymound Inc. (assisting inner-city children and families with socio-psychological challenges) and La Société Historique de Saint-Boniface (preservation of historical archives and providing genealogical services). Ray is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors / Institut des administrateurs des sociétés and the Manitoba Métis Federation. During his university years, he loyally served Canada for 5 years as a commissioned naval reserve officer and as a ship’s navigator.

Ray is fluently bilingual in English and French and has worked extensively at senior levels in both languages. He has some basic speaking and reading ability in Spanish having once attended la Escuela Americana, an English / Spanish immersion grade school in Guadalajara, México.

Oai Truong

MARKETING ASSOCIATE

Oai Truong is the co-owner and President of Bounce Design, a brand strategy, graphic design and website development agency servicing clients throughout North America for over 20 years.

Oai creates success for business utilizing proven traditional practices infused with the latest emerging technologies such as digital and social media marketing, along with virtual events and meetings.

With a background in Architecture, Oai brings a multi-dimensional approach to every solution. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at The University of Manitoba and also has an Advertising Art diploma from Red River College. He is the past Chair of the Provencher Blvd. BIZ, past President of Bonivital Soccer Club, and past President of Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association.

Brian Denysuik

SENIOR CONSULTANT

Brian Denysuik is former President & CEO of Creditaid providing credit counselling, financial coaching and insolvency counselling services to consumers and small business. Brian is also a business coach mentoring many businesses.

Brian helped pioneer the payment industry throughout his career with Comcheq, Ceridian and TelPay Bill Payment services. His leadership and expertise in the payment field help guide and develop the payment industry in Canada.

Brian is passionate about educating consumers on financial literacy and is an engaged speaker and writer on financial wellness.

Brian’s career has included 41 years of involvement and experience in the financial services industry in Canada.

Brian was the founding member and Board Chair of the Payment Service Industry Association of Canada from 2000 to 2008.

Brian is a committed community leader with over 26 years of senior board member responsibilities in health care related facilities, including; Chair of the board at St. Amant, Chair and Vice Chair at Centre Taché & Foyer Valade and the Catholic Health Corporation of Manitoba as well as a Member of The Catholic Health Sponsors of Manitoba. Brian is also Past Chair of Entreprise Riel, which is responsible for francophone economic development and tourism in Winnipeg and past board member and past President of the Winnipeg Executive Association.

Brian was born in Pine Falls, Manitoba. He attended St. Norbert Collegiate. Brian is a Business Administration graduate of Red River College, a Credit Counsellor and a registered Insolvency Counsellor under the CAIRP (Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals).

Kevin Betzold

SENIOR CONSULTANT

Kevin is co-owner of GNR Camping World RV Centre. Over his past 25 years there, he has worked as Salesperson, Parts Manager, Business Manager RV technician, and Service manager. His present role is General Manager. It is important for him to fully understand the inner workings of a business.

Kevin has always had a passion for the Retail Service Industry. At the age of 16, he started his own firewood business that helped him make money to put himself through university to receive a Bachelor of Education. After, teaching for a few terms, Kevin realized that his heart was truly in business.

Kevin is a natural troubleshooter which makes him great conflict manager. He understands the importance of having strong management procedures and sales systems. Kevin also enjoys leading strategic planning sessions for management teams.

Kevin is also one of the owners of Recreation World in Thunder Bay and also of Thomas Restoration in Winnipeg.

Greg Dandewich

Greg Dandewich is the President GDAN Solutions Ltd and committed to provide functional economic development and business development solutions for private, not-for-profit and public sector clients.  Greg has been in the field of Economic Development in both a rural and urban context for over 30 years. Prior to the formation of GDAN Solutions in January 2020 Greg was the Senior Vice President of Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. and was with the organization for over 25 years.

Through his company Greg deploys a logic model approach in formulating solutions tailored to the client’s needs including project management, strategy, organizational development and stakeholder facilitation. GDAN Solutions extensive economic development, business and public sector network enables the company to leverage executive and senior management expertise in delivering its consulting and advisory services. Greg has his Master’s Degree in City Planning from University of Manitoba and Economic Development Certification from the University of Waterloo.

Julien Dupas B.Comm. (Hons.)

Julien is a highly motivated bilingual B.Comm. (Hons.), marketing graduate, with strong interest in developing tactical marketing skills. Julien is a self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working individually or in a team environment. Julien can adapt quickly to changes and is focused on creating positive results. He has been proven to be able to accomplish tasks in an organized, efficient, and timely manner and has a keen eye for detail. Julien will oversee and develop marketing strategies to promote products, services, or events that align with your business goals.
